11. Apps with AI Features, Ads, and In-App Purchases
Added October 2026. Some of our apps include artificial intelligence (AI) features, advertising, or in-app purchases. This section explains, in plain language, how those features handle your information. If a feature is not in the app you use, the matching part of this section does not apply to you. Not every app collects every type of information listed in Sections A–C above. Many of our apps have no accounts at all.
AI features (third-party AI providers). When you use an AI feature, the text you type or speak (your question or picture description, called a “prompt”) is sent over an encrypted connection to a third-party AI provider, such as Google’s Gemini models through Google Firebase. The provider processes the prompt to create the answer or picture and sends it back to the app. Google handles this data under its own terms and privacy policy. Depending on the service used, Google may keep prompts for a period of time, for example for safety and abuse monitoring or to improve its services. Please do not put sensitive personal information (such as health details, passwords, ID numbers, or financial account numbers) in your prompts.
Security checks. Some of our apps use Firebase App Check, which on Apple devices uses Apple’s App Attest, to confirm that requests come from the genuine app on a real device and not from someone misusing our service. This sends technical device and app information to Apple and Google. It does not identify you by name.
Analytics and crash reports. Some of our apps use Google Firebase services such as Firebase Analytics (app usage events) and Firebase Crashlytics (crash reports). These collect device and usage information, such as app version, device type, operating system, app-instance identifiers, and crash details, to help us understand how the app is used and to fix problems. Google processes this information as described in Google’s and Firebase’s privacy information.
Advertising. Some of our apps show ads from Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK). AdMob may collect device information, IP address, and device identifiers to show ads, limit how often you see them, measure them, and prevent fraud. On iPhone, AdMob uses your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA) only if you allow tracking when the app asks. You can change this at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking. If you do not allow tracking, you may still see ads, but they will be less personalized. Where the law requires, ads may be shown only in a non-personalized way unless you agree. Learn more in Google’s information about how it uses data from apps that use its services.
In-app purchases. Purchases in our apps are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We do not receive or store your credit card number or billing address for these purchases. Apple or Google tells the app whether a purchase succeeded. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their rules.
Information kept on your device. Some of our apps keep your content (such as chats, settings, and purchased credits) only on your device and do not send it to a server we run. Deleting the app deletes that information from the device. We cannot recover it for you.
Speech features. Some of our apps can read text aloud using your device’s built-in text-to-speech, and may let you speak instead of type using Apple’s speech recognition. Apple may process voice input on your device or on Apple’s servers, under Apple’s privacy policy.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA). In the past 12 months, apps that use the features above may have disclosed these categories of personal information to the service providers named in this section: identifiers (such as device and advertising identifiers and IP address), internet or device activity (such as app usage events, crash reports, and ad interactions), and the content of AI prompts. We do not sell personal information for money. Where ads are personalized using the advertising identifier, this may be considered “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law. You can stop it by turning off tracking in your device settings as described above. You have the right to know, delete, and correct your personal information, to opt out of sale or sharing, and to not be treated differently for using these rights. To make a request, contact Amazing eLearning Team using the details in Section 10. We may need to ask for information to verify your request.
Users in the European Economic Area, the UK, and Switzerland (GDPR). Amazing eLearning LLC is the controller for the information our apps handle. We rely on these legal bases: performing our agreement with you (for example, sending your prompt to the AI provider to answer you, and delivering your purchases), our legitimate interests (for example, protecting the app from abuse with App Check, keeping it working, and improving it with analytics and crash reports), and your consent where it is required (for example, for personalized ads and the use of your advertising identifier). You may withdraw consent at any time. You have the rights in Section 6, plus the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests and the right to complain to your local data protection authority. Because providers such as Google process data in the United States and other countries, see Section 8 on international transfers.
Children. Our apps with AI chat, AI pictures, or ads are not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where local law sets a higher age), as described in Section 7.

12. Thready App — App-Specific Information
Added October 2026. Applies to Thready version 2.8 for iPhone and Apple Watch.
Here is a short summary of how Thready handles your information:
No accounts. Thready has no user accounts and no sign-in. We do not ask for your name, email address, or password in the app.
Your questions and picture descriptions are sent to Google’s Gemini models through Google Firebase AI Logic (Gemini Developer API) so Google can create the answer or picture. Google processes them under Google’s terms (see Section 11). We do not run our own server that stores your chats.
Your chats stay on your device. On iPhone, you can choose to save chats to Chat History. These are stored only on your device.
App Check. Thready uses Firebase App Check with Apple App Attest to confirm that requests come from the genuine Thready app.
Firebase Analytics. Thready uses Firebase Analytics to count anonymous app usage events (for example, which features are used and how often) so we can improve the app. Analytics events do not include the text of your chats or picture descriptions.
Firebase Crashlytics. If the app crashes, Firebase Crashlytics sends us a crash report with technical device and app information (such as device model, operating system version, app version, and where in the app the crash happened) so we can fix the problem. Crash reports do not include your chat text.
Ads (iPhone only). The iPhone app shows full-screen ads from Google AdMob every few questions or pictures. AdMob may use device identifiers and, if you allow tracking, your advertising identifier. The Apple Watch app has no ads.
Credits and purchases. Credit packs are one-time in-app purchases made through Apple. Your credit balance is stored only on your device. We do not receive your payment card details.
iPhone and Apple Watch. The iPhone and Apple Watch apps share your settings and credit balance with each other using Apple’s WatchConnectivity.
Speech. Answers can be read aloud using your device’s built-in text-to-speech. Voice input may use Apple’s speech recognition, on your device or through Apple.
Deleting your data. To delete your Thready chats, Chat History, settings, and credits, delete the app from your iPhone and Apple Watch. This removes them from the device. Unused credits cannot be restored after you delete the app or move to a new device. To ask about information held by Google or Apple, use their privacy tools linked in Section 11. If you email us for support, we keep your email only as long as needed to help you, and you can ask us to delete it.
Children. Thready is not directed to children under 13.
