About Course

Have you ever wondered how apps like ChatGPT and Claude actually work, and whether you could build one yourself? In this course you will. Step by step, you’ll write Python code that talks to real AI models and turn it into your own AI assistant app that runs in a web browser.

This course is made for absolute beginners. If you finished Python for Absolute Beginners, you already know everything you need to start. Each lesson explains one idea in plain language, shows you working examples, lets you try it right on the page, and ends with a hands-on exercise and a practice file. That way you always know when you’ve got it.

You’ll start with OpenAI, then add Anthropic’s Claude, so you learn skills that work with more than one AI provider. By the end you’ll have a finished app with its own personality, a memory of the conversation, saved chats and a simple web interface, and you’ll be able to share it with friends.

What Will I Learn?

  • How AI apps work: models, prompts, APIs and API keys, explained simply
  • How to keep your API keys safe and control what you spend
  • How to send prompts to OpenAI and Anthropic Claude from Python
  • How to write prompts and system messages that get better answers
  • How to build a chat program that remembers the conversation
  • How to handle errors so your app doesn’t crash
  • How to write one function that works with either AI provider
  • How to save and load conversations
  • How to give your app a web interface with Streamlit
  • How to share your finished app online safely
